- Sun, Sand and Sounds
On the weekend I discovered
a new nightclub night called Basscode. It at the Golden
Palace hotel in chinatown, and it was really cool.
I went with Julian and we
stayed for a few hours until it was jam packed and then
left.
Earlier that day the weather
was absolutely fantastic. We went to Manly beach and Jules
bought himself a new pair of blades. Then we bladed about
soaking up the sun and the manly beach atmosphere.
Hooray! Now we can go blading
again. Ok back to work..

- Time to get soaked
Well its the 5th anniversary
of the attacks on the World Trade Centre, and the other
events on Sep 11, 2001. So is the world a better place now
than 5 years ago?
Its been raining all weekend
and its still raining. I'm writing this in bare feet because
my shoes and socks are soaked. On the way to work today
it was absolutely pouring down. The hardest i've seen it
rain in a long time. Some of the roads looked like they
were flooded. The dams need the rain though!
I've been increasing my
jogging to the level I was at a few months ago. This weekend
was meant to be my first 10km jog in about 2 or 3 months.
But it rained and rained and rained. I really wanted to
go, and on Sunday it finally stopped pouring for a bit,
so I put on my earphones and shorts (it was cold!), and
headed out. By the time I got to Anzac bridge (about 2km
into the run) it started pouring down.
I figured if I went home
now I would be completely soaked by the time I got home
so I thought 'Bugger It!' and continued for the full 10km.
I was completely drenched - not a dry spot on my body. My
key pouch thingy is still wet today, and I've got clothes
everywhere at home drying out. People in Balmain were looking
at me strangely as I jogged past them with all my clothes
sticking tightly to me, my hair flattened over my forehead
and looking like a drowned rat.
Its the first time I've
really gone for a jog in the rain like that, and it was
quite fun actually! On the way back it really started to
rain hard and I think there was a bit of very small hail
coming down.. because it was starting to hurt on the way
back on the Anzac bridge. As soon as I got back indoors
I had a warm shower and put on some dry clothes.. ahhhhhhh.
On Friday Tim H messaged
me asking me if I wanted to go to with him and Ben C to
Club Blink. Its
an alternative goth-ish type nightclub. I've never been
to anything like this so I went along to see what it was
like.
It was actually not too
bad. Obviously the music wasnt my type of music, but some
of it was not too bad. I was surprised how full it got at
the end. Tim had a bit of a dance but me and Ben werent
really up for it and ended up just lazying around :-)
I might go again... maybe.
Last night I went clubbing
with Julian. I got soaked (yet again!), but this time on
the dancefloor :-). Was a lot of fun, and we watched some
half raver type guy doing some half shuffling in his phat
pants hehehe. Was quite funny. I cant wait until Prophecy!
:-)

- Steve Irwin and Wikipedia
I guess its a tribute to
both Steve Irwin
and Wikipedia that
by the time I had read the news about Irwins death, the
wikipedia entry had already been updated with the details.
