8:40a - On the long weekend
I finally managed to get
my butt to Wanted, a ravery nightclub event thats always
held on thursday night. Friday was a public holidays so
it was a good opportunity to check it out.. it was at T2
nightclub at taylor square, and it was very small.. but
the music was great!
Spent the rest of the weekend
hanging out with friends, watching Lost, and playing computer
games..
Bumped into Alex from stonewall..
was good to see him - havent seen him in a while. Also very
briefly bumped into irish John. Tim came over on monday
with his iPod and danced around a lot :-).
So back at work now.. next
long weekend is for Anzac day. I was thinking of taking
this Friday off.. but I dont think I will anymore. I've
got quite a few holiday days saved up now. Hmm.. i want
to buy a 160Gb or 200Gb hard drive off ebay. And now i am
inserting another random sentence in my weblog. Bye!

12:03p - Almost easter
Had a great weekend. Hung
out with the crew on saturday night and we were pointing
out a couple of people as they were walking past our cafe..
then later on in stonewall Julian runs up to one of them
and says hey!
So thats how I met Chase
:-). He's a pretty cool guy (I wonder if he is reading this..
hi chase!). So yeah we hung out until Sunday night.. went
driving to bondi, and back at home had some prawns for dinner..
which leads to my next story..
Went out on Sunday night
with Jules & Ben and was sitting at a cafe and started
to get really dizzy like I was about to pass out.. so I
went home and rested.. and then on Monday was still feeling
too dizzy to do much so took the day off work. Was feeling
fine by Monday arvo though.. so I reckon it was food poisoning..
and maybe the prawns had something to do with it. Not sure.
But feeling pretty much back to normal now although just
a little dizzy still. Just ate some chocolate Jonathan was
handing out.. yumm!
Yeah thats it. Oh and thanks
Julian!! ;-) See ya!

1:19p - Sleepy head
Its monday... I got home
yesterday evening after having a BBQ at Kate & Mark's
place.. I was so tired for some reason that I just got home
and crashed at about 7pm! Didnt get up until 6:45am!
Got to see Ben's new place..
pretty nice place.. also went over to the new suburb being
built at Breakfast
Point. It looked just like the Truman Show, except apartments..
everything is white - and they all look similar. I went
with Julian and we noticed how everything at Breakfast Point
sounds like a posh little old lady's idea of an ideal suburb..
there is The Village Green (a park), Garland Mews, the exclusive
residents only (no riff-raff!) Country Club.. :-), streets
with names like "Admiralty Parade". Pretty funny
actually - if only I had a sample clip of Julians voice!!
Saw a huge fight outside
the Shark Hotel on Saturday (i think).. some guys were fighting
with the bouncers.. and a lot of hard punches were thrown..
they ended up sprawling all over the streets and all the
traffic had to stop - everyone waiting in the queue were
all watching with fascination.. Ben would have loved it!
I think its about time I
upload some more photos - some recent ones too! Might try
and do that soon.. anyway, back to work..

1:15p - Get your flashing
tshirts!
Yes thats right.. I have
a new business - flashing tshirts :-)
On Saturday night was the
annual Mardi Gras parade, and I was prepared with boxes
of flashing tshirts ready to sell. I went with Julian, both
of us lit up with our tshirts, and took a couple of bags
of them with us.
We sold a few of them, but
not as many as I had expected, so maybe it is time to bump
the price down a little. I think I will do better selling
to a raver crowd, so I'll have to turn up to the next big
rave event and see if I can sell some there.
Went jogging on tuesday
night, and was amazed at how far I got... from Darling Harbour
all the way to Birkenhead point and around the point, then
back to DH. Took me around an hour - so on average 10km/h.
I reckon I can kick some butt in the City to Surf this year.
And to top it off, I went
rollerblading last night (wednesday) around the city with
Sydney
Bladers wearing my flashing alien tshirt - at least
the traffic can see me coming a mile away! There were about
20 people, and I couldnt believe how many injuries there
were - 4 people in total were injured, one ended up going
to hospital in an ambulance. He was involved in a fast accident
with another blader (who only got scraped on the ground
ripping her pants and scraping her knee). I think he must
have hit his head hard, and we had to wait for the ambulance
to take him away - AND he had a helmet on! Imagine what
it would have been like if he didnt.
Another guy misjudged a
sharp corner and hit a gutter, flew into the air, rebounded
of a springy fence and slammed onto the concrete.. he stuffed
up his ankle when he hit the gutter. The guy behind him
saw it and decided to take the corner sharper than he intended
to avoid the same fate, but ended up turning too fast and
sliding, ripping his pants and taking a chunk off his knee..
ouch!
I have decided that I will
not be doing the advanced cityskate anymore until I buy
myself a helmet! I have seen too many ambulances (and heard
even worse stories) on cityskate.
Think I might go to a rave
thingy on the weekend if I can be bothered - and if I can
convince Julian :-). I want to start making music too..
but I need to get some spare time, and get off my but and
do it.
Lunch is over.. better get
back to work..
