Run a half marathon - 100% complete

I have decided to do a half marathon as one of my resolutions so that I can push myself physically beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone. It will be quite an achievement for me if I can complete this. I will only be running on my own, not in a race.

Learn surfing - 35% complete

I have never even stood on a surfboard in my life. I dont know why i've never really thought about giving it a go - i'm sure it will be fun. I first had the idea after talking to Mel, one of Bens friends, who was mentioning how she was going to do surfing as part of a new years resolution. I thought 'What a great idea!' :-)

Make a music video - 40% complete

I've been wanting to do this for years and have always been saying stuff like 'I'll get a video camera soon..." etc. I think it would be a lot of fun doing something like this, and so this year i'm going to finally get off my butt and do it. I'll post the video up on this site once its done so everyone can see.

Lose 5kg / 5% body fat - 5% complete

Well according to weight watchers on the internet, for my height I am in the normal healthy weight range. But i'm on the upper side of it, and I would prefer to lose a bit of fat if I can. And according to some other random page, I am right on the top end of 'Acceptable' for my body fat percentage. So I want to lose either 5kg OR 5% body fat. According to my scales I am 78kg and 25% body fat on 1st Jan 2007.

Create a music track - 10% complete

This is another thing I have been wanting to do for years. I always 'gonna' do a track... but never actually get around to it. This year I am going to finally do one. Should be fun.

Read two classic books - 100% complete

I'm not a big reader. In the last 10 years or so I have read maybe 2 or 3 fiction novels. I like sci-fi and have heard a lot about H.G.Wells and Jules Verne. So my mission this year is to read a book from each of those authors.

Swim a total of 50km - 89% complete

I'm not a great swimmer. I cant go very far without stopping and get exhausted pretty quickly. So i'm finally going to do something about it and start swimming more. So my resolution is to do a total of 50km of swimming throughout the year. Thats around 1km of swimming per week. Hopefully if I achieve this goal I will be a much more confident swimmer.
